The website is usually the first impression and the representation of your company.

Is your website up to date?
Is the website responsive and mobile-friendly? Most of the visitors today use a mobile phone to navigate and having a website that is not adapted to the platform you are browsing on is not good.
Another important point is to have a website that is easy to navigate and thus user friendly. You do not want the visitor to browse through your website and leave it without understanding your objective, or even worse, leave the website because it is too complex to browse.
First impression lasts
You only have a couple of seconds to get that first impression and and communicate with your visitors. The main purpose with the website has to be clear. If for example your main goal is for people to sign up for a certain service the CTA-buttons (Call-To-Action) have to be visible and easy to find.
Where you place the content on your website and how much text you choose to post is also crucial. Studies of user experience shows that visitors usually can not digest more than a couple of sentences of text. We live in a very visual era, so all you can illustrate visually rather than with words is much more effective and appealing.
What type of website tool to choose
Before you choose a new platform for your website, it is important that you consider the main purpose of it and how it should be maintained. For example, if it is important for you to be able to easily edit and update content you might want to choose i.e. WordPress. The type of platform to use also depends on the features you need to be built-in, like ecommerce, login functions or other.
